Armando Zubieta, visual artist and photographer has a B.F.A. in Graphic Design and a M.F.A in Visual Arts with specialization in Painting and Photography.

Immediately following graduation, in 1992, Armando was invited back to the University to teach. As a professor, he spent three years teaching Life-Drawing, Concept Design, Packaging Design, and Portfolio Preparation, while also obtaining a specialization in Semiotic Language.

He was then drawn into Advertising with the possibility of mingling ideas and concepts with photography, design, and illustration, and then interacting them with ordinary products we consume daily to turn them into advertising campaigns seemed fascinating to him. In 1995 he joined advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather as an Associate Creative Director for the Smithkline Beecham and Hershey's accounts.

Three years later, he took a position as Creative Director at DDB Needham where he managed the Volkswagen, Castrol, Carrefour, and Cablevision accounts.
In 1999 he moved to the U.S.A and continued to work as a creative at advertising agencies Zipatoni, Leo Burnett Chicago, Bagby & Co, and Global Hue.

Over the past years, Armando has created a range of commercial work for clients such as Siemens, Comcast, FM Global, Coca-Cola, Miller Lite, MGD, Tecate, Finlandia Vodka, Wrigley, Walt Disney, Verizon Wireless, and Tag Heuer . His work has been awarded by The New York Art Directors Club, FIAP, Advertising Age, Marketing y Medios, Communication Arts, and The Creative Circle of US.

On a more artistic level, Armando never stopped working in Visual Arts. Soon after moving to New York City Area, he was invited to photograph different fashion shows at New York Fashion Week and started getting more projects related to with fashion and architectural photography. At the same time, he got involved with all the fine art movement at different galleries and museums.
